Otemichi (The Grand Entrance Stone Stairway)

Otemichi
A 6-meter wide, 180-meter long straight stone stairway. Experience the commanding presence of Azuchi Castle’s iconic “front face” in full 360°.
Otemichi appears immediately after passing through the entrance gate.
Near the former residences of Hideyoshi and Toshiie Maeda
Climbing past Sōkenji Temple, the view behind you becomes spectacular.
Continuing onward
The stairs become quite steep here.
The ascent continues.

Continuing upward brings you to the junction between the former Sōkenji Temple site and the Tenshudai (Main Keep Platform).
